Brief Story

Latvia, a gem of the Baltic region, boasts a rich history dating back to ancient Baltic tribes. Historically a trading hub between East and West, it saw the founding of its capital, Riga, in 1201. After periods of Swedish, Polish, and Russian rule, Latvia finally declared independence in 1918. Following Soviet occupation during the 20th century, the nation restored its sovereignty in 1991 and is now a proud member of the European Union.
